In Britain more than 50 percent of the 26 million insured drivers pay monthly, &amp; cumulatively this means, in unnecessary payments to insurance industry around abo<span id="more-229"></span>ut Â£624 million is being handed. It doesnâ€™t matter whether you pay by cash or credit cards, spreading it over a year for 24% will be more expansive.</p>
<p>Secondly, do not accept a renewal quotation automatically, even if you have a significant no-claims bonus. In insurance industry there is no customer loyalty like things. In big companies by offering great discount everyone target new clients, as compared to existing clients some offer half price deals for same level of cover. This can also get your payment down considerably.<br />Fifthly, insurance premiums can be affected by job title, &amp; most of the people don&#8217;t even realize this. Some professions are not fine thought of by insurers &#8211; sales reps, journalists, &amp; estate agents to name but a few. If youâ€™re accurate about your job title you can reduce your premium. For example a news editor may pay Â£576 but a journalist may Â£600. On the other hand you must tell the truth. Any claim that is made by you would be invalidated by inaccurate or none disclosed information.</p>
<p>Sixthly, your insurance premiums can be reduced by security devices. The affect of security devices like vehicle tracking to your premiums can be calculated by companies that fit car security devices.</p>
<p>Next, as around half of insurer wonâ€™t provide insurance cover so avoid modifying or customizing &amp; any that provides cover will certainly charge you more. If you really want to keep the cost down then do not pimp your ride.</p>

<p>What happens if I buy Insurance for a car, then the sale falls through? Do I get a full refund?<br />I&#39;m driving 120 miles to go buy a car. I&#39;ve seen it and am 90% sure that I&#39;ll be buying it. I will need insurance to be able to get a tag and drive it home.</p>

<p>Advice would be much appreciated ?<br />Ok, i have an interview for Either Manager or Assistant manager Today.. i dont have much manager experience. i do have retail and sales experience and i did make my resume look a little more interesting and just a resume that deserve a second look. (dont mean to sound like im bragging) well anyhow, I had a phone interview. he asked me many important questions like if i was comfortable with scheduling hours and payroll, what customer service meant to me, and so on&#8230;. so Today im going for my second interview face to face&#8230;. i find it weird because first of all the interview will not be in the same mall that the store is at, it will be in another mall that doesnt even have one of their stores, why would they do that? Also the person who i talked to said something about the face to face interview was going to be different &#8230;. im not sure what he meant by that&#8230; i believe it has something to do with not doing it in the work place or the store that i would be hired for&#8230;..why would they do that?also what can i do to make me stick out in their mind as the best candidate for the job. If he asks me if i have any questions for him what should i ask? anything that will impress them? also he told me to bring a resume and i decided to include on my resume the past leadership experiences ive had examples are&#8230;. i was captain of my soccer team, i was also captain of my hs football team, a youth group leader and i was a keyholder/supervisor in one of my past jobs now i know these are good leadership examples since i was leading a team but can you please give me some more ideas or anything that will help me out&#8230;. is it a good way to go? i dont have any degrees i only have a life insurance license and my experience in the retail customer service and sales industry&#8230;.. any tips or stories that will help anything at all&#8230;. please let me know. thanks in advance.</p>

One of the songs in the play which debuted on Broadway on November 16th, 1959 is â€œI Have Confidence.â€ By doing a review of just six phrases in the song, anyone in sales will have what they want to do and what they donâ€™t want to do to build confidence in all your selling conversations.<strong><span id="more-124"></span>Â </strong></p>
<p><strong>â€œOh I must stop all these doubts, all these worries.â€</strong><strong>Â </strong></p>
<p>The thing about stopping doubts and worries is that they continue to roll around in the deepest corners of your mind at times, donâ€™t they? Stop it! When you hear a doubt or worry, turn it right around to itâ€™s opposite. For example, you think, â€œIâ€™m not sure theyâ€™ll want to talk with me,â€ as you pick up the telephone to follow up with a referral. Right at that moment, before you pick up the phone, stand up and think the opposite, â€œIâ€™m sure if they have time. Theyâ€™ll want to talk with me today, or at least weâ€™ll schedule a date to do so.â€ Donâ€™t go into any action with such negativity rolling around in the recesses of your mind. Youâ€™re setting yourself up for rejection that takes your confidence down a notch.Â </p>

Then summon up the courage to find comfortable marketing and sales actions to help you reach those dreams.Â </p>

Working on polishing your skill in these separate levels will help you in becoming a well-rounded manager that can take on any job duty and handle them with ease. These principles of management are crucial if you would like to be viewed as a pers<span id="more-26"></span>on of good integrity, work ethic and communicative with fellow workers. These three levels for being a high-quality manager are as follows: Technical Skill, Human Skill, and Conceptual Skill and the necessary functions of a manager are planning, organizing, directing and controlling.</p>
<p>Technical skill is the ability to process the technical side of a job or part of your work. Proficiency in the technical knowledge of your job and company is critical if your job requires you to be more â€œhands onâ€ with your work. Many managers find themselves less educated on the technical side of the job than the rest of their employees and upon losing their managerial position they are forced to come to the reality that there are far more people educated in technical work than they are and slowly fall down the ladder. In order to not let this happen, you must stay up to date with the technical aspects of your job in order to assure your bosses and your company that you are the right person for the position.</p>
<p>Human skill is the power to communicate to your fellow co-workers. This is a skill that 99% of all companies look for in a manager because if you do not possess the ability to correspond with other employees then you will not work out in a manager position. You must be a â€œpeople personâ€ in order to hold a job as a manager because on a daily basis you will be working with various other associates and you will need to know how to hold conversations and help your employees. Learning how to effectively communicate with people is a key principle of management that you will need in order to be successful in your position.</p>
<p>Conceptual skills involve the formulation of ideas and concepts. Managers that have great conceptual skills generally possess the power to create innovative ideas and deliver abstract theories. This form of management will give your company the edge it needs against its competitors if you can formulate groundbreaking concepts for your company that will push them ahead of the competition.</p>
<p>Managers also have duties no matter what their skill level is. These responsibilities include planning, organizing, directing and controlling. These functions are necessary when working as a manager in any level you are performing in. You might view your principles of management as the separate skill levels or the basic duties of a manager. Whichever you hold as the most important, you must also keep in account that a great manager will possess all of these skills and be a vital asset to their company.</p>

<p>It&#8217;s common for me to get questions from folks in higher-level sales positions or semi-supervisory positions (maybe National Accounts Managers, etc.), maybe interviewing for Regional Accounts Manager positions, who want to know how to differentiate themselves so that they will be the ones who get tapped for promotions. There&#8217;s a lot of advice out there about these kinds of things, and certainly your sales performance has to be solid to even p<span id="more-17"></span>ut you in the running. I provide custom consulting at this level, too, but to get you started, here are 9 ways to raise your visibility within your organization and build your personal brand:</p>
<p>1) Always be over-prepared (for everything). Always be on time. Always send thank-you notes. So, if a VP of Marketing travels with you, send him a thank you note immediately &#8211; within 24 hours. The thank-you note shows your appreciation, and separates you from the pack. It&#8217;s all really just basics&#8211; good manners and good work ethics. Simple, but you&#8217;d be surprised how many sales reps get caught up in their own &#8220;stuff&#8221; and forget these simple things.</p>
<p>2) Arrive early. Stay late.</p>
<p>3) Offer to do projects or tasks that no one else volunteers to do. Be the &#8220;go to&#8221; person.</p>
<p>4) If the president or CEO wonders about something in a discussion, go find the answer and respond to him. It will show that you are paying attention to him, it will show your initiative, and it will set you apart in personalization.</p>
<p>5) A lot of people work very hard for certain events like Regional Sales Meetings. Decisions like: Where will we have it? What are the topics? Who will speak? What will we eat? Who&#8217;s going to eat where? What projects will we do? These issues take a lot of time and energy, and the ones who set it up often don&#8217;t have much administrative support. They&#8217;re doing it all. Remember to thank them when it&#8217;s over. Thank the Regional Sales Managers, the sales team, the trainers, and the people from the home office who fly out to speak with you. That&#8217;s huge.</p>
<p>6) Gather information on competitors. Any time you see something that might be of interest to anyone in your organization, whether it&#8217;s marketing, technical support, or anyone, send them a quick e-mail with a link to the pertinent information when you can. You can set up Google Alerts to let you know about any developments in your company or within your industry, any key people you have a rapport with or need to develop a rapport with, any information on your competitors, product areas (genomic testing, FDA-approved tests, point-of-care, microarrays, etc.-you get the drift). Set up those alerts that let you know every day about what&#8217;s going on, send relevant information on to whomever it&#8217;s relevant to, and if they ask how you saw it, tell them about the Google Alerts. It sets you up as a SME (Subject Matter Expert). You&#8217;re not necessarily an expert, but it does show your fluency with the computer/internet, your creativity, and your initiative in forwarding information that will help your company.</p>
<p>7) Ask if you can be a mentor within your organization. Lots of people want and need one and are afraid to ask. But, if there&#8217;s someone (like you) who&#8217;s volunteering&#8230;it becomes more likely that they&#8217;ll take it. Spending 20-30 minutes on the phone once a week with them will really benefit them, and it will show in their growth. And if you have taken the initiative to set it up rather than participating after you&#8217;ve been asked (if the company even has a program), it shows you as the leader that you are.</p>
<p> <img src='http://epalladiumsales.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_cool.gif' alt='8)' class='wp-smiley' /> Be willing to do a presentation on a product, a competitor, or sales training. Meeting organizers often have trouble finding content. If you are willing to provide some of that content, it increases your profile, positions you as a subject matter expert, and helps you build your personal brand.</p>
<p>9) Sharpen the saw. Keep up with your reading in sales or motivation, talk to people about them, and send the books you read along to others in your organization. That&#8217;s a very cool thing. It makes people feel that it&#8217;s a personalized gift, you&#8217;re trying to help them learn something, and you&#8217;ve already read it so you know it&#8217;s good. There are a lot of great books out there. I love the Malcolm Gladwell books, and here&#8217;s a link to a few more.</p>

1:  Answering the telephone:<br />
8% of customers leaving a business leave because of lack of caring expressed or lack of perceived caring from you or someone in the company. Callers begin to form their impression of your organization by:	 <br />
A. The number of rings it takes to get an answer <br />
B. The first voice they hear</p>
<p>Answering Techniques<br />
A. Answer the telephone within the first three rings<br />
B. Greet the caller <br />
C. State your organization&#8217;s name and your name<br />
D. Offer assistance, invite questions.</p>
<p>Use friendly phrases<br />
1. Thanks for calling.    <br />
2. How may I help you?   <br />
3. How are you today?</p>
<p>Example:  &#8220;Good morning, Sales Growth Now. This is Bob Janet, how may I help you?&#8221;</p>
<p>This is also a good time to &#8217;source track&#8217;. If the caller is a first time caller ask them 	where they heard about your organization.  The old saying of a failed business goes,&#8221;I always knew 1/2 of my advertising worked, I just never knew which 1/2.&#8221;</p>
<p>Telephone Skill 2: <br />
A. Listening for selling opportunities:<br />
Your organization is in the business of selling products and services.  Most customers telephone because they have a problem or need your products and services will solve.  All you have to do is listen and identify the problem / need they have and match your products and services to them.</p>
<p>1. Listen to what the customer is saying. They are either (a) making a statement about their problems/needs,(b) giving you an objection to something they have already purchased or (c) asking you a question concerning their problems/needs.</p>
<p>2. Think about what they are saying. Think about what your organization has to offer the customer to solve their problem/need. If you are 100% Customer-Centered* you want to solve their problem/need the easiest way for them, but that does not mean you cannot sell them your products and services.</p>
<p>3. Make suggestions in the form of choices.  Choices of your products and services that will solve their problem/need.  Giving choices is the easiest way to ask for the sale.  Giving choices (a) gives the customer the feeling of control, and people buy and buy more when they feel they are in control and b) makes it easy for the customer to choose to buy from you instead of your competition.</p>
<p>Always Smile!!	<br />
Face-to-face your voice accounts for only 33% of your effectiveness. </p>
<p>In a telephone greeting your voice accounts for 84% of your effectiveness.</p>
<p>B. Listening for closing statements:<br />
After you offer suggestion in the form of choices of products/services, listen for the customer to make a closing statement.  Examples: &#8220;That will work.&#8221;  &#8220;I never thought of that.&#8221;  &#8220;How much will that cost me?&#8221; &#8220;How soon can you deliver?&#8221;  Any positive statement made by the customer, after you gave them a choice of solutions to their problems/needs, is a closing statement.</p>
<p>Sure, not all closing statements by the customer will close the sale, but as one of the coaches to the  famous hockey player Wayne Gretzky said to him when he was frustrated with Gretzky&#8217;s lace of 	shooting in an important game, &#8220;You miss 100 percent of the shots you never take.&#8221;</p>
<p>Telephone Skill 3:  Asking questions:<br />
Be eager to help the caller.  Be animated.  <br />
Make the caller feel welcome. Make them feel they are the most important person in your life.  If you re 100% Customer-Centered* they will perceive they are the most important person in your life at that time.</p>
<p>Ask questions that will help the caller explain the problems/needs they have.  Questions that give you an understanding of exactly what they want and need from your organization.</p>
<p>Example: &#8220;Mr. James, what is it about the ____________ that I can help you with?&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;Mr. James, you said you need your  _________ repaired. How old is your __________?&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;So I can better help you, what exactly are your needs for a ________________?&#8221;</p>
<p>*100% Customer-Centered &#8220;Means that everything you say and do is about the customer not about and for the customer, not you or you organization.&#8221;</p>
<p>Telephone Skill 4: Furthering the sale:<br />
If you do not sell them over the telephone, further the sale by making an appointment to meet with them, having an outside sales professional telephone or meet with them, or asking their permission to send information.  Always give the prospect a choice.  It gives them the feeling of control, and they cannot say &#8220;NO&#8221; when given a choice. </p>
<p>For example: &#8220;Would you like to meet with me Monday or Tuesday?&#8221;  If they do not choose one of the times continue to give them choices.</p>
